Fun extras
TikTokers like Remi Bader (@remibader) have blown up sharing their fashion hauls, giving followers a chance to see how styles look on a real person. Remi is hilariously honest about how items fit. She’s gained over 600K followers and her most popular TikTok received over 7M views (clips below, see full version here). Remi’s able to monetize by linking to her LikeToKnowIt profile, where followers can shop her TikTok looks through affiliate links.
FlipFit, which launched last October, is betting that fashion haul videos are the future. FlipFit users scroll through a TikTok-like page filled with outfit try-on videos. If users see something they like, they can buy it directly through the app, cutting out the need for a player like LikeToKnowIt. Users can also vote on looks to earn shopping credit. VC firm Andreessen Horowitz believes video is the future of e-commerce.
